Unknown Neighbours: Stories of Migrant Workers

UNKNOWN NEIGHBOURS: Stories of Migrant Workers
Thousands of migrant workers come to Ontario every year, yet they are often invisible to ordinary Canadians. We expect fair treatment for these workers but there is work to do to ensure that this is the case for everyone. Hearing from migrant workers and those who advocate for them and learning what can be done to build a better community for our neighbours will help ensure that fair treatment. You are invited to attend a two-day event hosted by Simcoe County Kairos at St. Mary’s Church, 65 Amelia St., Barrie on Friday, Oct. 20, 6:30 to 10 and Sat. Oct. 21, 8:30 to 3:30 with lunch. $25 for Friday/Saturday, $10 for Friday or free-will offering. For more information or to register contact Keith or Carolyn at 705-735-9211.
