Creaking Tree String Quartet/ Serendipity Princess
They're a true Canadian original. The four members of Toronto's Creaking Tree String Quartet bring their unique sound to Barrie for a cruise aboard the Serendipity next week.
The Creaking Tree String Quartet followed its debut CD, which earned a Juno nomination in 2003, with Side Twoin 2005. It garnered a number of awards, including the Pushing The Boundaries trophy at the 2005 Canadian Folk Music Awards, and Instrumental Album of the Year at the Indie Acoustic Project Awards.
This year, they did it again with a 2009 Juno nomination forThe Soundtrack.Andrew Collins, mandolin, Brad Keller, guitar, Brian Kobayakawa, bass, and John Showman, fiddle, consider this album their finest work to date.
