RAIL TRAIL NATURE WALK
The local Brereton Field Naturalists are hosting a walk along the rail trail near Mayer’s Marsh just outside of Barrie. They will try to see what mid-autumn has to offer in flora and fauna along a favourite section of the rail trail. Sparrows, Warblers, Herons, Hawks and other hardy migrants will still be in the area including, possibly, Rusty Blackbirds. It’s an easy walk and ends by 1:00 pm. Bring your own water & light snack. Meet at 8:15 am from Little Lake parking lot. They depart by 8:30 am.
