Barrie company expanding to Elmvale

Glueckler Metal taking over former Transcontinental Bayweb property

SPRINGWATER TWP. — There is good economic news today for the village of Elmvale.

Glueckler Metal Inc., which machines steel components for the automotive and heavy trucking industries, has purchased the former Transcontinental Bayweb property at 13 William St. and is expected to be up and running in March of 2010.

The Elmvale location, encompassing about 40,000 square feet, will house 75 employees who currently work in the Barrie office. There is also the potential for more positions to become available.

Glueckler stated that the decision to expand to Elmvale was a good choice economically and overall, as the Elmvale property was a great price in a great community. Currently, the company leases their office space.
