Women must always be aware of dangers

Earlier this week, while getting gas at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar on Bayfield Street, I was accosted by a man who was obviously very high.

He yelled obscenities at me and then proceeded to take a swing at me.

I had no way to defend myself, but the young man who was the station attendant came running out and got this horrible person away from me.

I didn't get the attendant's name but you know who you are, and I'm sincerely grateful for you coming to the assistance of a stranger. Not many people would put themselves into danger to help another.

I wanted to write this to let all people, especially the ladies, know that you should never let your guard down, no matter where you are, and to let the general public know that there are still some good people in this world who are willing to help others in need.
