Taken from Barrie Tim Hortons

A poppy donation box has been stolen from a Barrie Tim Hortons just before Remembrance Day.

City police say it happened at 3 a.m. Friday at the 555 Essa Rd. coffee shop.

Four men in a blue Nissan Altima went through the drive-thru and, after getting their food and drinks, parked near the Rexall Drug Store.

Two guys went inside, one going to the washroom, the other loitering in the restaurant seating area and then leaving - just as the first man left the washroom and headed to the far cash register.

The poppy donation box was grabbed and he left the store.

Police describe the first man as black, in his early 20s and with black hair.

The second man is of Middle Eastern decent, also in his early 20s, with brown hair, unshaven and with a goatee.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Const. A Tombs at 705-725-7025, ext. 2794 or at atombs@barriepolice.ca or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or visit tipsubmit.com.
