Retro gazebo refurb

 The Kiwanis Club of Barrie, with Mayor Jeff Lehman and Barrie's first mayor Willard Kinzie, presented the donation of $25,000 the club raised, which was matched by the city, to rehabilitate the crumbling gazebo at Sam Cancilla Park on Monday. The gazebo was built in 1922 by volunteers and was used in both World Wars by infantry. Today the shelter is used as a picnic area, bus shelter and meeting place for Out of the Cold volunteers.
