Police are on the look-out for a man who robbed a convenience store early Monday morning.

Police say the man entered the Mac’s Convenience at 11 Cundles Road West, near Bayfield Street at approximately 2:30 a.m.

The man showed a folded knife and demanded money from the clerk, who complied. The man fled on foot heading westbound on Cundles Road.

The man is described as a white, male. He was wearing a black balaclava, black jacket, grey pants (similar to long johns) and black running shoes.

Barrie police want to remind business owners of the importance of maintaining and updating video surveillance equipment. Quality images help to identify suspects, and can aid in arrests and have a tremendous impact during court proceedings.
