Mississauga Steelheads rookie goaltender and Barrie native Jacob Ingham finished the Ontario Hockey League regular season in style.

The 16-year-old was named OHL player of the week after posting a 3-0 record with a 1.50 goals-against average and a .958 save percentage.

Ingham stopped 91 shots last week, winning all three games for his Central Division champion Steelheads, who improved their record to 34-20-6-7. His week included a pair of first-star performances against the Niagara IceDogs as they pursued a post-season berth.

Ingham also entered Friday's game against the Barrie Colts after the first period and made 15 saves to preserve a 4-2 victory in Mississaga.

The Steelheads have second place in the Eastern Conference, but Tuesday night's final home game against the Sudbury Wolves will determine their first-round opponent, which could be either the Wolves or the Ottawa 67's.
