Barrie's St. Joan of Arc hosts girls basketball GBs

St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School in Barrie hosted the girls basketball  'AAA' basketball Georgian Bay Secondary Schools Association (GBSSA) tournament on Tuesday. 

In the senior girls GBSSA semifinals on Tuesday afternoon, the St. Joan of Arc Knights fell 37-23 to the Orillia Nighthawks.

In the other semifinal match of the afternoon, the Innisdale Invaders defeated the St. Theresa's Thunder.

In the junior girls ranks, the Knights defeated the Eastview Wildcats in the semifinals while the Orillia Nighthawks defeated the St. Peter's Panthers.

Those games set up an Orillia-St. Joan of Arc junior final on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., as well as an Innisdale-Orillia senior final at 7:30 p.m.
