The Orillia Secondary School (OSS) senior boys opened the Simcoe County high-school football season with a dominant 27-0 victory over Collingwood Collegiate Institute (CCI) Thursday afternoon at the West Orillia Sports Complex.

CCI's Fighting Owls managed just one first down in the first half, as the Nighthawks defence proved impregnable.

Offensively, the home side owned the ball, enjoyed excellent field position and rumbled in for four rushing touchdowns in an impressive first half.

Nighthawks TDs were scored by Pierson French (two), Josh Buckingdale and Carl Wingrove.
