Landlord calls cops on unwanted tenants in Barrie

A landlord who asked for Barrie police assistance in removing unwanted tenants helped clean up the drug traffic.

City police say officers arrived at the apartment on Dunlop Street East at 10 a.m. on Thursday and found five men from Toronto, as well as a quantity of drugs, large quantities of money, multiple cellphones, and drug paraphernalia.

All five men - aged 19, 43, 47,  and two 21-year-olds  - were arrested on possession charges and multiple breaches of recognizance and outstanding warrants.

Four men were held for a bail hearing, and one was released with a future court date.
