A 21-year-old Port McNicoll man is facing a drug charge after a knapsack containing about a pound of marijuana was found on a Barrie Transit bus.

According to Barrie police, a city bus driver located a backpack that had been left behind by a passenger Sunday afternoon around 3:30 p.m. and when he tried to determine who owned the bag, found the marijuana.

A short time later, police say the knapsack's owner called Barrie Transit looking to retrieve his property and when he came to claim it, was met by police.

The man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
