Woman calls 911 for advice
A woman called 911 on her cellphone at the Georgian Mall on Tuesday to seek some ‘advice’ from police.
She was reminded about the proper use of 911 and was asked to use the non-emergency landline the next time she needed advice.
Police responded to eight 911 calls on Tuesday, none were emergency related and were combination of pocket dials, misdials and children playing with a phone.
As a result, about four hours worth of police resources were used since two officers are required to answer 911 calls.
