One-year-old girl airlifted to hospital 0
CLEARVIEW TWP. — A one-year-old girl was airlifted to Sick Kids hospital in Toronto with serious, but non-life threatening injuries after two vehicles collided, Tuesday morning.
According to Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police, a 21-year-old female motorist pulled onto Highway 26 from County Road 7 when the vehicle was struck by another vehicle heading west on the highway around 11:30 a.m.
OPP say the girl, who was in the beige vehicle, was ejected from a child safety seat and suffered serious injuries.
The woman and child were taken to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital for treatment, but the child was airlifted to Toronto shortly after.
A 74-year-old woman driving the silver vehicle was also taken to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. A 21-year-old Wasaga Beach woman has been charged with failing to yield.
