Noise of children playing on Christmas rankles resident
Shortly before supper on Christmas Day, Barrie police received a call about a noise complaint at a Grove Street address.
The caller complained the children in the upstairs apartment were playing with their new toys and making too much noise.
The caller advised police to park up the street and approach on foot as the noise may stop if the people saw the police cruiser out front.
Despite a police dispatcher's attempts to convince the caller that it was Christmas-related noise and suggested just letting the kids enjoy the day, the complainant insisted that police attend.
They did and educated all involved with regards to the noise bylaw.
