A concrete pipe was accidentally dropped through the roof of a Barrie car wash, Thursday afternoon.

According to Wellington Car Wash owner Greg Sullivan, the accident happened as the pipe was being off-loaded from a trailer. The machine lifting the pipe tipped over and the pipe crashed through the roof.

Sewer work was being done at the plaza at the time.

No one was in the car-wash bay at the time and no injuries were reported.

The car wash will remain closed until inspections on the rest of the building can take place.

Sullivan opened the facility just over a year ago.
