Barrie Colts' forwards Anthony Camara and Mark Schiefele have been invited to Team Canada's 2013 National Junior Team selection camp in Calgary, Alberta.
It runs Dec. 10-13, and the two Colts are among 37 players invited.
Both Camara and Schiefele recently competed in the Sunway Super Series.
Scheifele, a highly touted prospect in the Winnipeg Jets' system, was a member of Canada’s bronze medal-winning team last season in Calgary and Edmonton.
He has 21 goals and 44 points in 26 games with the Colts, in addition to four assists he collected in four games at the Canada Russia Challenge this summer.
Camara, a Boston Bruins prospect, is having a stellar season, with 19 goals and 34 points in 27 games. The 19-year-old should compete for the so-called 13th forward position, which has been filled by a pair of prominent Barrie Colts players in the past.
Tanner Pearson landed the 13th-forward role at last year’s tournament and former Colts captain Stefan Della Rovere was a banger-crasher on the 2010 team that won the silver medal in Saskatoon.
Canada's National Junior Team will be finalized on Thursday, Dec. 13 and will depart for Europe on Dec. 15 to play two pre-competition games in Helsinki prior to the 2013 World Junior Championship.
Canada will play its first game of the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championship on Boxing Day against Finland.
