'Gladiators' will take centre ring Thursday night in Barrie at The Ranch for the fifth annual Monster Grudge Match.

The event, which benefits the local branch of the Canadian Cancer Society, will see Barrie police officers and firefighters battle it out gladiator-style perched on platforms with jousting poles. The fun will also include a silent auction, plus bull riding.

The grand prize for the event is two tickets, courtesy of Labatt Breweries, to the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. The prize includes flight and accommodation.

Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at The Ranch, the Canadian Cancer Society office at 4 Checkley St., Suite 103, or at www.ticketbreak.com.
