TRACY MCLAUGHLIN, SPECIAL TO THE EXAMINER

Criminal charges against a Barrie police officer were withdrawn on Wednesday after he agreed to enter into a peace bond.

Const. Bruce Gardiner was charged last July with one count of criminal harassment and one count of voyeurism.

The four-year member of the service has been suspended from duty with pay as a result of the charges.

Gardiner entered into a peace bond to agree to have no future contact with the person who made the complaint, Tuesday.
